Jabula Bush Camp

Things to Do

Adventures, wildlife, and unforgettable moments in the African bush

Game Drives

Self-drive through 18,500 hectares of open bushveld, or book a guided drive with an experienced ranger. Early mornings and late afternoons offer the best sightings of lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo.

Big Five Viewing

Dinokeng is the only Big Five reserve in Gauteng. Lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo all inhabit the reserve. Regular sightings — especially in the cooler months.

Bird Watching

Over 300 bird species recorded in Dinokeng. Look out for the Southern Ground Hornbill, Secretary Bird, Martial Eagle, and the colourful Lilac-breasted Roller.

Stargazing

With zero light pollution, the night sky at Jabula is a spectacle. The Milky Way stretches from horizon to horizon — and the Southern Cross points the way.

Hiking & Walking Trails

Explore the bush on foot with marked trails around the camp. Guided bush walks with armed rangers are available for a deeper, safer wilderness experience.

Mountain Biking

Bring your bike and hit the reserve roads and trails. Early morning rides through the bush are exhilarating — just keep an eye out for wildlife around every bend.
